Workplace Health and Safety Queensland Priority Plan 2024-2030

The WHSQ Priority Plan 2024-2030 (WHSQ Priority Plan) sets the priorities that will guide our planned, proactive interventions for the next six years. This evidence-informed approach helps us prepare for known and emerging issues that impact Queensland workplaces. It is not a substitute for WHSQ’s responsive work that tends to immediate incidents.

The WHSQ Priority Plan is the result of our risk-based approach to prioritisation from Our Regulatory Approach. It will guide our future work to support duty holders to manage risks to reduce work-related fatalities, injuries, illnesses and improve workers’ wellbeing. As the regulator, we continue to undertake compliance, and enforcement actions in response to serious incidents and to develop policy responses to those incidents, as well as to government policy priorities.
