Renew your work licence or reinstate an expired work licence.

You can renew your electrical work licence up to two months before it expires.

You can also reinstate an expired electrical work licence within 12 months of it having expired. Your reinstated licence will be issued with an expiry date five years from the original expiry date.

Before you begin

Before you begin the renewal process you need to ensure you have completed:

  • your skills maintenance using the free Skills maintenance online assessment within two years of your renewal.
  • CPR refresher training within twelve months of your renewal
  • for electrical linesperson licence holders, pole-top or transmission tower rescue training (PTR) within twelve months of your renewal.

You are not required to provide copies of your CPR or PTR certificates or skills maintenance certificate when you renew but you may be required to provide it later for auditing purposes.

Once you are ready to proceed, please renew your electrical licence.
