Design registrations issued by other regulators
The Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 recognises design registrations issued by other health and safety regulators.
You are not required to re-register your plant design in Queensland if you have a registration number for your plant design from another regulator.
If you are supplying the plant you will need to provide the design registration number with each item and keep the registration document available for inspection.
Procedures
When another regulator holds a plant design registration, the following procedures will apply:
- the plant design registration under a corresponding WHS law will be acceptable in Queensland
- the registration holder must keep the registration document available for inspection
- the plant design registration number must be given to the manufacturer, supplier and user
- the plant design registration number must be kept in the vicinity of the plant.
