Dingli Australia elevating work platforms safety recall
Published: 21 August 2017
Purpose
The purpose of this safety alert is to highlight a stability issue with some elevating work platform (EWP) models manufactured by Dingli Australia.
Background
Dingli Australia is recalling some EWPs manufactured before 2014. The product safety recall notice was issued to original owners of the affected units and distributed through industry organisations in February 2016. While many of the units have been upgraded under the recall, further assistance is needed from industry to identify outstanding units as they may have been on-sold, possibly numerous times, and new owner details are not known to previous owners.
Contributing factors
This safety recall relates to the stability (counterweight) upgrade of the EWP units. There have been no known incidents as a result of the EWP's stability issues.
The recall applies only to the 19 outstanding units with model and serial numbers specified below. Dingli Australia cautions operators of these units to restrict to single person indoor use only until an upgrade has been carried out.
