Guest speaker

Dr Deborah SimmonsDr Deborah Simmons is a Senior Consultant Anaesthetist with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and a Rural Generalist with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.

She works in a number of roles for Mackay Hospital and Health Service and privately in Rockhampton.

Deborah has a passion for talking about her experience with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in the hope of passing on the message for early treatment and return to work. Opening up the conversation on mental health, Deborah believes, will aid in the destigmatisation of these medical diagnoses.
