Product recall: Solar PV inverters
An urgent safety warning notice has been issued by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for the recall of solar PV inverters, warning of the potential risk of serious injury or death from electric shock, including advice for what your consumers should do.
According to the ACCC, the inverters have been supplied with an AC plug that does not comply with requirements of the relevant electrical safety standard - an emergency power supply (EPS) port plug that can be removed by hand without the use of a tool. In some cases, if the plug is removed or if it is not connected during the installation process the user has access to live hazardous voltage.
