Electrical product recall: Jinko solar hybrid inverter

The ACCC has issued an urgent product recall for Jinko Solar Australia’s single-phase 5kW hybrid power inverter, often used in domestic rooftop solar systems.

The inverter has been supplied with an emergency power supply (EPS) plug that can be removed without the use of a tool and may expose consumers to live terminals.

The ACCC provides that consumers must switch off the inverter immediately and must not remove the EPS plug from the inverter. Consumers should contact their retailer or Jinko Solar Australia to arrange the permanent securing of the EPS plug so it cannot be removed without a tool.
