Recall: Fluidra Group Australia Pty Ltd - Zodiac Z400 heat pumps

Zodiac Z400 pool heat pumps have been recalled due to the pump’s capacitor failure to disconnect from the circuit which can lead to the unit catching fire. heat pumps

Consumers should stop using the heat pump immediately. Press and hold the ON/OFF button for two seconds to switch off, then disconnect the plug. If it is hardwired, turn off the isolator switch.

The product is stocked at over 350 pool outlets nationwide and consumers should contact Fluidra to arrange for a technician to repair the heat pump at no cost.

Solar PV invertersRecall updated: Solar PV inverters

An urgent updated safety warning notice has been issued by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) for the recall of solar PV inverters. The notice warns of the potential risk of serious injury or death from electric shock, including advice for what consumers should do.

The recall is for Goodwe solar inverters with model numbers located on the side of the inverter:

  • GW5000-MS-30
  • GW6000-MS-30
  • GW8500-MS-30
  • GW10K-MS-30.

Consumers must not attempt to remove the AC plug on the inverter. Consumers should switch off the inverter at the:

  • “INVERTER A.C. ISOLATOR” switch (if there is one installed adjacent to the inverter) and
  • “MAIN SWITCH (INVERTER SUPPLY)” on the switchboard.
