Urgent product recall – Chicago AIR HUSH silenced air compressor models

Product Safety Australia has issued a recall on four affected models due to serious safety risks, with consumers urged to take immediate action to prevent potential injury or death.

Affected Chicago AIR HUSH Silenced Air Compressor models:

• HUSH50 (50 litre)
• HUSH70 (70 litre)
• HUSH100 (100 litre)
• HUSH150 (150 litre)

It was identified that the insulation on the wiring under these compression motos is inadequate and may expose live wires. This is a serious risk to consumers as it can cause serious injury or death due to electrocution from contact with live wires.

If you own one of these Chicago AIR HUSH Silenced Air Compressor models, stop using it immediately. Unplug the device from the power outlet, and to prevent further use, after it’s unplugged cut the power cord in half or tag out the equipment.

What should you do?

Return your product to a Sydney Tools store to have it inspected and repaired where needed.

If the product cannot be returned to a Sydney Tools store, Sydney Tools will arrange for the product to be collected for inspection and rectification (if required). Contact Sydney Tools via recall@sydneytools.com.au.
