Consultation, representation and participation: one-stop-shop

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has recently refreshed its website, collating all available information relating to consultation, representation and participation.

Information has been collated to make it easy for the user to find what they are looking for.

  • Health and safety representative portal
    Access the online portal making it easy for PCBUs to meet their obligation to notify the regulator of health and safety representatives (HSRs) and deputy HSRs.
  • Issue resolution processes
    The WHS Act requires all business operators to develop an issue resolution process in consultation with their workers. If no process is developed, the new laws set out a default process.
  • Resources
    Access case studies, films, resource materials and more.

A new addition to the website includes the Work Well 365 Speaker Series focusing on how effective workplace consultation, representation and participation can improve your health and safety outcomes. This speaker series features a live conversation with Jodie Deakes (Office of Industrial Relations) and guest industry panel Peter GouldJeff White and Jacqueline King.

Don’t forget there is a specific code of practice relating to work health and safety consultation. This code of practice has recently been changed to reflect the model code of practice and now includes additional examples and clarifications to assist industry.
