The prosecutions dashboard provides a national overview of WHS offences and could assist businesses with decision-making to improve their own processes.

The most recent data was analysed with key findings highlighting:

• 282 prosecutions were brought against PCBUs for breaching WHS laws and regulations - the majority of defendants plead guilty.
• More than $30 million in penalties were handed down as part of sentencing (up on 2020/2021 figures).
• 152 of the cases related to a serious injury or injuries and 47 related to a fatal injury.
