Online safety network meetings July

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland holds safety network meetings throughout Queensland, collaborating with businesses to achieve better health and safety outcomes. We source expert presenters for these meetings to talk about a range of current and emerging safety issues.

The next two meetings - one for the transport and one for the manufacturing industries - are being held online in July and include the following topics.

Transport network meeting

  • Results from a research study investigating fatigue and alertness in the transport industry, presented by Monash University.
  • Steering Healthy Minds, a collaboration amongst peak transport related organisations.
  • Augmented Intelligence collects long haul truck drivers’ Electrocardiogram (ECG) from FatigueM8.
  • The Measures of Safety Culture (MoSC) and (Rehabilitation and Return to Work RRTW) survey tools. Safety culture under this holistic approach considers the organisation’s capability through the combined effort of organisational, social and human resources to effectively manage WHS, RRTW and secure positive business outcomes.

Manufacturing network meeting

  • Measurement of Safety Culture (MoSC) (WHSQ)
  • My Health for Life (Stroke Foundation)
  • People at Work update and work related violence and aggression (WHSQ)
  • WorkCover Queensland update
  • Healthy Worker Unit (WHSQ) update
  • The Measures of Safety Culture (MoSC) and (Rehabilitation and Return to Work RRTW) survey tools. Safety culture under this holistic approach considers the organisation’s capability through the combined effort of organisational, social and human resources to effectively manage WHS, RRTW and secure positive business outcomes.
