New resources to help workplace consultation
Consulting with workers and their representatives on work health and safety matters is a legal requirement. Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has resources to help duty holders comply with these obligations and encourage effective consultation processes.
Two case studies showcase health and safety representative success stories in the manufacturing and education sectors. The case studies explain how each workplace adopted genuine, proactive, transparent consultation processes for their workforce. They demonstrate the importance of senior management commitment to effective consultation, showcasing how workers are heard and their opinions valued when systematically managing health and safety concerns.
