New guidance: Weekly compensation when a worker’s employment ends

New guidance is available for insurers about obligations for weekly compensation when a worker’s employment ends. It’s important to share this information with your injured workers if it becomes relevant to them so they’re fully informed about the claims process and their entitlements.

People returning to work after an injury at the moment may be uncertain or concerned about how their job and way of working have been impacted by COVID-19 during their absence. It’s important to keep in regular contact with your injured worker, provide updates on the workplace, any changes to processes, and how this may affect their return and suitable duties program.
