If you’re unable to go back to the role you had before your injury or illness, you might need to find another job.
Job hunting may be stressful after an injury. To make it easier and to support you, we’ve put together some resources and useful links like commonly used job search websites and other important support services. There are also some tools here that will help you with applying for work.
Here are some of the most used job search websites. Some of these advertise jobs across all industries while others specifically advertise government jobs or other roles in the public sector.
Websites like Seek.com and CareerOne also offer links to vocational training and further education as well as helpful information on resume writing and interview tips.
There are many other job search sites, most of which can be found easily with a simple internet search.

Community social support services can help you in lots of different ways. They can assist with things like access to financial support, emergency relief, and even training. Some of these services can even help people on low incomes with food, clothing or household goods.

Your mental health and wellbeing is important. Recovering from an injury, potentially finding a new job, and returning to the workforce can be a difficult time.
There are a number of services available that can help you with depression, anxiety and other mental health issues.
Some of these offer information, referrals and online resources and others, like Lifeline, even provide confidential counselling 24/7. Sometimes it’s simply good to have someone to talk to about the things that are worrying you.
