Queensland workers and workplaces have the strongest safety protections thanks to the Work Health and Safety and Other Legislation Amendment (WHSOLA) Act 2024. While WHSOLA Act 2024 provides the strongest protections, safety is still a shared responsibility, and we all have a role to play in making sure our workplaces are safer for everyone, every day.

Workplace harassment, including sexual harassment, is never acceptable. It creates a toxic environment and can cause lasting harm.

If you have seen, heard or been harassed in the workplace, don't risk it, report it.

The standard that you walk past is the standard that you accept. And you should never accept unsafe work practices like this one.

Safety is a shared responsibility. If you're in charge, you need to address unsafe work practices swiftly.

Employees, you need to follow legislative requirements and internal policies and procedures. If you're unsure, speak to your health and safety representative.
