Snorkel safety challenge 2024

This year’s competition closes on 7 August 2024. The terms and conditions are available for your reference.

  1. The WHSQ Snorkel safety challenge is administered by the State of Queensland through the Office of Industrial Relations (ABN 13 846 673 994) of 1 William Street, Brisbane City, 4000 (Promoter).
  2. Entry into the competition (Promotion) is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions (Terms).
  3. Entrants must be diving or snorkelling operators, excluding:
    1. employees of the Promoter (Office of Industrial Relations) and their immediate family members.
    2. management, employees, directors and contractors of the promoter, its related bodies corporate, firms or companies associated with the promotion (including suppliers of prizes).
    3. a spouse, de-facto spouse, parent, guardian, child or sibling of a person referred to in paragraph 3(a) of these terms.
    4. persons who have breached the terms and conditions of any promotion run by or on behalf of the Promoter (eligible entrants).
  4. The persons referred to in paragraph 3(c) of these terms includes natural and non-natural relations (in the opinion of the Promoter). The Promoter is responsible for determining whether a person is an eligible entrant in its absolute discretion.
  5. Operators can only provide one entry per vessel.
  6. There will be three categories based on vessel size:
    1. Boats up to 25 passengers
    2. Boats up to 100 passengers
    3. Boats that can carry over 100 passengers.
  7. Participants in the entry should be employees of the entrant and will need to complete a Consent form. If you wish to include participants who are not employees they will need to complete a Consent form.
  8. The competition will run from 7am (AEST) Monday 13 May 2024 and conclude at 11.59pm (AEST)Tuesday 7 August 2024 (promotional period). Entries will be accepted if they are post marked during the promotional period but don’t arrive until after the promotional period due to postal delays.

Draws and winners

  1. The judges will select:
    1. one winning entry from each vessel size category
    2. runner ups at their discretion.
  2. The winner/s will be notified using the phone number provided on the winning entrant’s official entry form. Winner announcements are anticipated in September 2024.
  3. The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
